Stop smoking?
It has been 4 days since I’ve quit smoking. Anyone have any tips on how to keep the cravings at bay???
I would try to exercise to take my mind off of it, but I just had surgery this weekend. So, not a good idea right now. I have been trying to pacify myself with popscicles. But I cannot do that at work. Where everyone smokes…and they do it inside the office.
Drink lots and lots of water…Take a short walk around the office if a craving hits especially hard…and just remember that TODAY YOU ARE A NON-SMOKER..tomorrow is a different story but for TODAY you are not smoking…

Good Job! Smoking is really has a bad effect on your life. It can shorten your life drastically. Just keep the bad things off your mind, think positively and do hobbies you enjoy(besides smoking!). Keep at it!

Maintain a frame of mind that you’re a non-smoker and have never smoked. Cravings usually only last a few seconds. Distract yourself with something simple, like drinking a glass of water or reading a book.

I quit a thousand times, but when I quit–and really quit– I had no urge even that same night. I was drinking beer with my friends that night and all smoking but me. So, if you really have quit, just let that thought rule you. I smoked for 15 years and I rule it now.
